Six French Artists…Artists Exchange Program
Water Street Studios in partnership with Geneva's International
Cultural Exchange Commission hosts a French artists exhibit that
includes art works of six French Artists visiting from
Croissy sur Seine…And you are invited.

Pierre
Rannaud
Born Paris, 1927. A career in International Metals Trading and
Commerce, Paris and Switzerland. Married with 3 children. Took up
painting upon retirement and is self-taught.Honorary President of
the 'Painters of Chatou'.Honorary Board member of the Societe
Nationale des Beaux Arts, Paris.His works ...have been acquired by
the Chatou Museum and 'Maison Fournaise' restaurant.Exhibitions in
Grand Palais, Paris, numerous French galleries, New York, Holland,
Switzerland, and Singapore.
Maud Lewenhaupt-du
JeuBorn
Grew up in Stockholm, Sweden. Aged 20, she moved to Paris where
she married and had five children. After many years drawing, she
completed her artistic education at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, in
Versailles, where she graduated in 1997.After working mainly on
models and portraits on request..., using various techniques, she
dedicated herself to pen and ink drawings with wash, working with
calligraphic instruments, and to sculpture. She has worked with the
Swedish sculptress Marilyn Hamilton-Gierow and with the Hungarian
sculptor Zoltan Zsako.From 1997 to 2000 she worked in the Rumanian
painter Ben Ami Koller's atelier.She exhibits in France and abroad
and has obtained a number of awards, and is permanently represented
in the following galleries: Fiumano Fine Art Gallery, London,
Galleri 17, Stockholm, and Gavart Galerie, Paris.
Jonathan
Garner
Born Chicago, educated Highgate School, London and Jesus College,
Cambridge. Oil executive (Sales and Trading) working in London and
Paris.Married Brigitte Pittet (1969), 4 children.Since retirement,
started art classes with Marie-Claude Bohnenblust and exhibited
with 'Autre Chose' in Le Vésinet 2008 a...nd 2010.Working mainly in
acrylique and initially figurative in style, is exploring
semi-figurative and abstract forms and colors. Interested in the
history of the Impressionists and is more apt at talking about them
than imitating them.
Brigitte
Garner
Born Morges, Switzerland; educated Sens, France.Joined TWA in
their Paris office, air hostess for 5 years covering Europe,
Africa, and Asia.Married Jonathan Garner (1969), 4
children.Starting evening classes pottery lessons in London 1973,
and with Elvire Cazalis, Chatou in 1976. Independent since 1990,...
and gives private lessons.Works with stoneware and porcelain,
producing mainly thrown utilitarian objects with her own glazes
fired in either gas or electric kilns. More recently creating
subjects around specific themes and forms; after a visit to
Australia in 2000 vases inspired by indigenous trees, then bowls
with perforated or cut-out shapes and currently porcelain in black
and white.There is always a meticulous concern for purity of form
and shape with a strong sense of harmony and bold use of color.
Josette
Nicolle
Born Gourin, Brittany.1961 graduated from the Academy of Plastic
Arts, Paris. Worked 1961-65 with Ramelberg, a creator of textiles
and modelling. 1981-89 worked in techniques of old paintings with
Helene Legrand.Since 1990 joined the Atelier of Beaux Arts, Celle
Saint Cloud.President of the Art Associa...tion of Croissy since
2001.
Marie-Claude
Bohnenblust
Born Arras, and went to Ecole Martenot, Neuilly-sur-Seine,
studying the teaching of Plastic Art, followed by Beaux Arts,
Paris.Worked in several art studios: Ofra Grinfeder, Ros Blasco,
Belmonte, and Lisbeth Delisle specialising in ceramics, painting,
and sculpturing.Since 1980 gives private teaching lessons in Art
and Plastic Art to adults and children.At the same time continues
to attend local art studios developing and exploring new
techniques. A member of various Art associations: Marly-le-Roi,
AIAP Paris, and Yvelines Contemporary Art.
